Responsibilities of Inside Parts Sales Manager:
  • Manages and directs the workflow of all Parts Sales and call center activities to ensure efficient utilization of team members and available resources; while maintaining and growing existing business, generating new business, and ensuring KPI’s and company objectives are achieved.
  • Works with Parts Specialists and larger Parts Team to ensure that all customers parts needs are met in a courteous, efficient and timely manner.
  • Develops, manages, and evaluates the effectiveness of all Parts Sales programs, policies, and selling methodologies.
  • Analyzes, drafts and submits yearly departmental sales forecasts along with monthly status updates.
  • Develops and manages departmental sales budgets and strategies to meet established budgets.
  • Reviews customer bids and provides recommendations regarding pricing and strategy.
  • Fosters and promotes positive relations with customers, vendors, and distributors.
  • Continually monitors and analyzes key performance indicators and various records and reports for trends, with the purpose of monitoring departmental performance and maintaining or improving organizational efficiency.
  • Develops and directs effective customer follow-up strategies for the Parts Sales Team for existing and potential customers.
  • Represents LBS at various community and/or business meetings to promote LBS and build relationships.
  • Identifies areas for improvement within department, implementing operational policies, goals, objectives and procedures, conferring with Parts Management and other team members as necessary, ensuring that practices are in accordance with accepted practices and LBS policy and procedures.
  • Conducts research to develop new and innovative strategies and techniques; analyzes and evaluates methods used, procedures and systems; recommends changes to help address issues and increase departmental efficiency.
Minimum Requirements of Fixed Operations Sales Representative are:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years parts sales experience; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience, that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Minimum of two (2) years parts management experience, preferably in a parts call center environment which included financial management experience including P&L, budgeting, and cost estimating.
  • Experience with parts inventory and dealer management systems.
  • Demonstrates high-level of heavy-duty parts bus/truck parts knowledge.
  • Computer proficiency in web-based programs and applications, Microsoft Office Suite applications and related departmental software, to include researching and looking up information.
  • Valid Driver’s License for New York State or for the state of residence.
