Virtual Engineering Camp combines virtual teaching and offline activities in which students explore science and engineering concepts and apply them to real-world design challenges. Using recycled materials, inexpensive craft supplies, and simple electrical components, campers will design, build, and test their own hands-on engineering projects from paper towers to working flashlights. Each day will involve different experiments, design challenges, guest speakers, and discussions about what engineering actually is and how students can do it themselves using stuff they can find around their home. During this camp, students will:: Get to be the engineer as they build and test their own solutions to real design problems Learn to build cool stuff with materials they can find around their homes Dates: Monday, July 20 - Friday, July 24, 2020 Time: 9 am - 3 pm Place: Online- Zoom Live Stream Cost: $50; Scholarships available Age Group: Grades 5th - 8th Max Class Size: 20 students Children can only participate in those camps designed for their age group.
