This year Rome Historical Society is kicking off a new annual signature event which will serve both as a fundraiser for our organization, and as an evening of good fun for the community! While our well-known Annual Dinner serves as a sit-down formal affair, our Birthday Party will be just the opposite! Live music, dancing, a banquet style dinner, relaxed dress, and warm September weather will all come together to make this a lively and memorable event! You may wonder what we mean by it being our “Birthday.” RHS was chartered in September of 1936 – we’re turning 88 this year – and when we sought to create a new party style event, it seemed the perfect anniversary to celebrate around. The evening will feature: • Buffet Dinner and Drinks by Sleepy Hollow Golf Course! • Live music featuring Downshift Southern Rock Band! • Dancing on a spacious dance floor! • Opportunity to tour RHS’s complete expansive collection!
