"Memories of You" Jazz Concert

Collage Jazz returns to the Rome Art and Community Center on Monday, January 27 at 6:30 PM, in a concert of jazz from the swing/big band era. The program, titled “Memories of You,” includes many of the band’s favorites, including danceable music by Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Artie Shaw, Glenn Miller and several romantic tunes from the Great American Songbook. Collage is a five-piece ensemble based in Rome. Performing on this concert are Colleen O’Neil, clarinet; Rick Compton, flugelhorn; Joe Ferlo, guitar; Joe Karwacki, bass; and Patrick O’Neil, drums. “Monday nights at RACC have become the place to be for music,” notes the members of Collage. “From January through April, Collage will perform on the fourth Monday of each month, with a new program of fresh tunes for each concert. For those who like bluegrass music, check out the Center’s offerings on the second Monday of each month, and other music events are also in the works for upcoming Monday nights at Rome Art and Community Center.” Admission to the concert is a suggested donation of $5 per person, to benefit Rome Art and Community Center.
