Description
This program explores how communication takes place when someone has Alzheimer’s. Learn to decode the verbal and behavioral messages delivered by someone with dementia, and identify strategies to help you connect and communicate at each stage of the disease. Provided by the Alzheimer’s Association, CNY Chapter, the program is one hour long and is intended for caregivers and friends of anyone that interacts with an individual living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia. We ask that all guests to our public education programs register in advance. Not only does this help to plan whether to bring 15 or 50 copies of our materials, but it also allows us to contact you in case weather or other emergency forces us to cancel the program. Unfortunately, programs with minimal registrations will have to be cancelled. If you do not register, you are still welcome to attend, but please contact us to confirm that the program is still scheduled. (315) 472-4201 ext. 100
