Distributed Autonomous Everything: Cryptocurrency Ecosystems & the Benefits of Blockchain Architectures & Smart Contracts Date: Thursday, June 28, 2018 Time: 11:30 am - 12:00 pm: Registration and Lunch 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm: Presentation and Q&A Location: Mohawk Valley Community College - Rome Campus, Dining & Community Hall (PC150), 1101 Floyd Ave, Rome, NY Cost: $15 per person; includes lunch (see below for registration & payment) Attendance limited to 40 registrants Cryptocurrency Ecosystems & Blockchain Architectures & Smart Contracts This presentation will cover the pros and cons of the growing number of cryptocurrency ecosystems and the benefits beyond the cryptocurrency domain of the various blockchain architectures that are gaining momentum in the virtual currency world. These existing architectures include novel advancements in peer-to-peer networking, cryptography, game theoretics, “invisible network” protocols, and deceptive communications strategies. In addition to the traditional blockchain architectures, we will discuss the explosive interest in smart contract constructs that have been leveraged by the Ethereum Network and have been key enablers of Distributed Autonomous Organizations. Discussions will focus on some novel applications of these concepts as well as the Initial Coin Offerings (ICO’s) which are empowering a new wave of entrepreneurs seeking venture capitalist funding. Finally, we will discuss the convergence of Artificial Intelligence with Blockchain and also speak to the next generation of disruptive technologies in IoT and Distributed Autonomous Everything (Dax). Presented by: Dr. Misty Blowers Dr. Misty Blowers is the Director of Strategic Development at Peraton and an Adjunct Professor of Blockchain Technology and Distributed Ledger Systems at George Mason University. She combines a multifaceted experience base with a proven ability to launch new initiatives to promote technology and lead the strategic vision of the US DoD and Intelligence Communities. She is recognized globally for her contributions to the fields of autonomy, advanced cybersecurity strategies, and for her ability to educate a global community on future disruptive technologies in information sciences.
